About the Shrewsbury Social Club

WHO WE ARE

The Shrewsbury Social Club is a non-profit women’s organization founded in 1975 as the Welcome Wagon of Shrewsbury. In 2009 we broke with Welcome Wagon            International, Inc. and renamed ourselves The Shrewsbury Social Club. The mission of the club is to provide our members with social and civic opportunities.

WHAT WE DO

We provide fun, monthly, interest groups. Our current groups include Daytime Book Club, Evening Book Club, Recipe, Bunko, Downhill Skiing, Ladies Golf, Wine Tasting,     Card and Game Night, and 40+.

September – June we hold monthly All-SSC Events. The All-SSC Events held annually include the September Fall Kick-off, January Re-gifting Dinner, and the June Picnic.     We pair these events with community service projects like collecting school supplies or toiletries. For the remaining months we host a variety of social events some civic     and some just for fun.

We give back and support our community. Annually, we hold a bake sale in support of St. Anne's Human Services, sponsor initiatives of the Shrewsbury Public Library;       participate in the Spirit of Shrewsbury; collect items for local families and children in need and raise money in order to donate to local charities. In the last 4 years we         have contributed $10,319 to local charities.
